Overview
This documentary highlights a local DC martial arts program for Children with Autism. The program grew to an online program to address Health Disparities in the Nations Capitol. Autism is on the rise and a need of programs are increasing in areas of social determinants. Icefyre Martial arts bring an exciting combination of martial arts and rehab services together to make martial arts therapy for children in the city with special needs. The children are coached in executive functioning through repetition, Kata training and group activities for self defense. The martial arts are now online with partnerships of business and an HBCU to make the difference. Watch this powerful documentary of children that overcome a diagnoses by being a Martial Autist.
