Overview
LOGLINE: When a Mexican cartel boss needs a strategic seaport in a neighboring drug lord’s territory for his pipeline to and from America, he sends his son to negotiate; resulting in the death of the rival drug lord, a bloody cartel war and an investigation by the DEA.
PITCH: In the vein of NARCOS, an American-Colombian television series that focuses on Pablo Escobar’s interactions with drug lords and government agents, NAUTLA is a violent series based in MEXICO that showcases the glamorous and gritty sides of the illegal drug trade. What makes our series unique is the fact it is a CONTEMPORARY story based on a real town in Mexico that is a major pipeline for cocaine into the United States via San Diego to this day. It is also based on ongoing news stories. SEASON ONE will consist of twelve one hour episodes.
