Rocker from heaven

Overview

Catherine, chief heavenly harpist and beloved of God and Mary is adored by her elder angel brother who wants to support her in everything, She suddenly decides she’s had enough of heaven and will instead become a rock playing percussionist and go to earth, which she then by-passes for hell.

There her rhythmic music gets everyone, including all the devils, dancing. This enfuriates Satan who totally disapproves of anyone having fun! He gets his own back – a wholly evil uncaring attractive Lothario – by commanding Catherine back from heaven, to which she had for a time returned. Pulling her down again to hell he entices her to fall deeply in love with him. In spite of her adoration he soon leaves her, snakelike, to go off with an elegant slim green mamba.

In furious hatred and revenge Catherine decides to destroy the beautiful world and everything in it, including herself. Her brother is aghast that his beloved little sister is planning such a disaster and, worse, to do it in hatred not only of Satan and his mamba, but also of herself – the sin of sins. All his arguments fail to dissuade her; as God says “What will be, will be”. At last by an incredible sacrifice her brother – only a little angel after all, so what does he matter? – finds a way to save her from this ultimate and terrible sin, and, perhaps, to sing again.
