Undeniable Testimonies

Overview

For “comfort women,” who were survivors of sexual slavery by the Japanese military during World War 2, justice has not happened. Only 9 registered survivors remain in Korea, all of them over 90 years old. We cannot let the Japanese government patiently wait for the grandmothers to pass away, nor can we let rampant historical revisionists disgrace the grandmothers’ honor by claiming they were prostitutes. This documentary asserts that we should wholly believe the survivors’ testimonies. I chronicle the protests, speeches, and conferences that the “comfort women” have carried through against all forms of wartime sexual violence.
